Welcome to Mindful Ministries. We are excited to be on a journey of healing, strengthening, and helping you become a fighting force in your own life. We would love to take this time to make clear what Mindful Ministry is and what it is not! We are committed to modeling the foundations that we will be working with you, such as being honest, transparent, and having clear communication.

Let’s get down to it! What is this Ministry?
 Mindful Ministry is a support group for teens, age 7th to 12th grade, that meets every Tuesday from 6:00-8:00pm. We will begin in September of 2022.

 Mindful Ministry is a peer-based support with a trained group facilitator. What does that mean? It means you will be with teens around your same age and an adult that will help give skills and talking points to the group.

 Mindful Ministry is for teens who are struggling with mental health/chemical health/identity problems. So should you come? YES! If you are questioning if this might be helpful for you, then more than likely this is something that would be helpful.

 Mindful Ministry is a resource for learning coping skills to better manage the struggles in your mind and the situations you’re working through in your environment.

Now, what isn’t Mindful Ministry?
 Mindful Ministry is NOT a licensed therapy session. You will not be diagnosed or be given any medication management.

 Mindful Ministry is NOT a social group. We do want you to come willing to talk with a specific goal in mind and that goal is to be working through mental health problems.

And what’s expected from you?
 Honesty - even if one of your struggles is telling untrue stories or being dishonest.

 Safety – Committed to not harming yourself or others.

 Communication – If you are concerned about harming yourself or others you should be willing to talk to your facilitator or licensed advisor of the support group.

 THINK – This is our model for Communication with others: Is it thoughtful? Is it helpful? Is it inspiring? Is it necessary? Is it kind? We will be working on understanding this better.

 Love – Being open and willing to learn how to love God, love others, and love yourself.
